Maroa-Forsyth calls itself the small-town school district that prepares students for big life experiences. This project will enhance that mission. An addition to the high school will replace the circa-1930s middle school and provide improved facilities for both middle and high school students. The shared arts facilities include a new multipurpose theater designed by Nextstage Design in concert with the project team and district leadership. The single level auditorium includes a control booth, a sound mix porch, and a flexible orchestra pit convertible to additional audience seating or additional stage space. The stage is equipped with motorized curtains and counterweight rigging, and catwalks provide stage lighting positions over both stage and auditorium.
